Buffet & Catering Terms
What’s included
- Our price includes set-up of your buffet and collection of all crockery after the food service, so you don’t need to worry about washing up — we take care of it all.
China & cutlery hire
- A refundable deposit is required for the hire of china and cutlery.
- This deposit will be fully refunded provided all items are returned, complete, and unbroken.
Guest numbers
- Buffet service is available for a minimum of 20 people.
- We can cater for events of up to 500 guests, depending on the buffet chosen.
Delivery
- Free delivery within Bournemouth.
- A small delivery charge will apply for locations outside Bournemouth.
Booking & Payment
- Please place your buffet order at least 4 weeks before your event.
- A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the buffet cost is required at the time of booking to secure your date.
- The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the event.
- In some circumstances, we may be able to accept bookings within the 4-week period.
Cancellations (Non-Wedding Events)
- The 20% securing deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable.
Wedding Bookings
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a wedding booking.
- The remaining balance is due 12 weeks before the wedding.
- If cancelled before 12 weeks, the 30% deposit is non-refundable.
- If cancelled within 12 weeks, 50% of the total balance is non-refundable.
- If cancelled within 3 weeks of the wedding, the full amount is non-refundable.
- We strongly recommend taking out wedding insurance in the unlikely event of cancellation.
Venue Fees
- For venues where Coasty Catering is a recommended caterer, a 10% venue fee will be added to the total booking. This fee is paid directly to the venue by us, from your payment.
Allergies & Dietary Requirements
- Please inform us of any allergies, food intolerances, or dietary requirements at the time of booking.
- While we take great care to avoid cross-contamination, please note that our kitchen is not allergen-free.
- Full ingredient traceability from our suppliers can be provided if required.
- Responsibility for notifying us of dietary requirements lies with the client.
Collection & Clean-Up
- Any remaining food must be removed before collection.
- All crockery, cutlery, and equipment should be left on the buffet table ready for collection.
- If this is not done, a clean-up and waste disposal fee may apply.
Damage
- The client is responsible for any damage to tables or property caused by the caterer, caterer’s staff, or guests during the event.
